My name is Martha Jane (Haltom) Reinheimer. I was born in Stamps, Arkansas. My father was Allison Oscar Haltom.
His father was Leonard Allison Haltom. Leonard was married to Martha Jane Kitchens.
Leonard and Martha Jane had these children: Henry Green Haltom, James Isaac Haltom, Naomi (Haltom) Ward, Kenneth George Haltom, Ellen Haltom, N. Lee Haltom (infant son who died at 1 1/2 months), Grace Haltom, and my father Allison.
Leonard's father was Zachariah Haltom, married to Jain E. Bell (or Eliza Jane Bell).
Zachariah and Jane had these children: Leonard Allison, Lewis Adrian Haltom, Laarance, James B. Alice L. and Robert.
Zachariah's father was Ezekial Haltom and Enuch Haltom. In total, Zachariah had four wives: Wincy Thomason, Adeline Watkins, Emeline Watkins, and Malissa Barr. Children from various wives include: William Haltom, Samuel Haltom, Sarah P. Haltom, Jacob L. Haltom, John F. Haltom, Ora J. Haltom, and Nancy A. Haltom.
Ezekial's father was John Haltom, married to Sarah. John was born about 1790. Supposedly in North Carolina; however, I have found a John Haltom, married to Sarah, with the birth dates similar and these children born to him and Nancy Haltom: Nathaniel Haltom, Enoch Spencer Haltom, Ezekial Haltom, Benneter Haltom. John married Sarah Sallie Callicott and had these children: Mary Haltom, Ebenezer C. Haltom, John David Haltom and Caston Damia Haltom. There was also a third wife listed but unnamed with these children: William Haltom and Joseph Haltom.
There is some indication that these particular Haltoms came from England, in the Lancashire area and immigrated to the United States but I have not been able to assure that as of this writing.
